Playing with Your iPhone

The apps for the iPhone just get better and better, now I have another reason to be distracted from work today with the app Type Drawing. You write some copy, pick a font and a background and start drawing. At 99 cents, all the creative pleasure you could want for a few pennies! (Thanks Omar).

Feeling Vintage

The photo apps for iPhone just get better and better. My new fav is Camera Bag which lets you choose filters such as 1974 B&W, 1962, instant, etc. I'm not using my good camera as much because these are so fun to play with. Thanks to David John for making me buy this app this morning!

An App a Day

My favorite photography apps for the iPhone are the QuadCam and TiltShift apps. QuadCam is especially fun because you have only 3 seconds between shots, so one has to pre-plot the photos. I just ending laughing so hard by the third shot and can't quite get them all in focus just yet. Love, love the TiltShift app, it's imperative that you shoot a scene from up high to mess with the scale. All at the iPhone app store.

A Shift in Reality

If you have an iPhone and want something very fun to play with, download this TiltShift app for a mere $1.99. I have long admired tilt shift photography in which a regular world becomes miniature through the use of a special lens. There is also a pretty good tutorial for achieving this in Photoshop and I intend to play with that as well. This iPhone app does it all for you and lets you save high resolution copies of the final image as well.
